According to the report of the English newspapers, such top taxpayers will be invited to tea with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Finance Minister Nirmala Sittarman.
The purpose of this step is to encourage taxpayers so that they contribute more themselves as the Indian Government needs more revenue for Welfare Schemes.
Sources said that the full budget presented on July 5 can be announced about this incentive scheme.
The Income Tax Department is already issuing a certificate to those taxpayers who regularly deposit their tax.
A committee is also working to amend the Income Tax Act, which will report its report to the government till July end.
Tax reform is a major agenda of the NDA Government.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitaramman will submit his first budget on July 5.
A person who earns Rs.1 Million in the year is to give 30 percent government income as income tax.
People who earn Rs.5 Million from 1 year annually have to pay 10 percent of their surcharge.
People whose annual income is more than Rs.10 Million is to give 15% surcharge.
Over 10 Million rupees and less than Rs.1 Billion, the households with annual income are required to pay 7 percent, while foreign companies have 2 percent surcharge.
Over 1 Billion Rupees Annual Household Companies have to pay 12 percent and foreign companies 5 percent surcharge.
